IS IT I, LORD?
The Cursillo Movement’s Miami English Language Secretariat has launched a new “SuperGroup Reunion” that meets the first and third Wednesdays of every month (except as noted in the Calendar on this Website). Because of the Coronavirus pandemic, we have been holding these group meetings via Zoom video conferences. If you do not have the Zoom app, you can get it for free for your computer, laptop, tablets or smartphones. It is great to be able to participate from the comfort of one’s home. Look for invitations in your email.
The “SuperGroup” is an exciting gathering, held in the spirit of group reunions, of Cursillistas willing to help guide and lead the Movement. It focuses on ongoing study and formation of these Cursillistas to provide the tools needed to learn more about the Movement and its charism and method so as to enable them to lead the Movement. The meetings are normally held from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Msgr. Roman Cursillo House at 16250 SW 112th Avenue, Miami, FL. However, since the Coronavirus restrictions were imposed, we have been meeting via Zoom with growing success. Our attendance is growing each meetiing. So, please spread the word… Bring a Friend to Christ!
This SuperGroup reunion is formally known as the “School of Leaders” in the Cursillo literature. It is a special (“super”) group of Cursillistas who have chosen to serve within the Movement as their apostolic vocation (“Leaders”) and who want to help guide the Movement. The SuperGroup helps to inspire, educate, strengthen, and deepen the conversion of this core group of Cursillo leaders and prepares them for serving the Lord through the Movement.
The SuperGroup accomplishes its objective by giving the leaders a formation in holiness, doctrine, technique and the spirit of service. We completed studying the book, The Study of the Charism. Then we studied “Whom Shall I send? Discerning the Will of God” by Fr. Frank S. Salmani. After that, we enjoyed the teachings from the Dynamic Catholic by Matthew Kelly. Then we studied the Conversations at Cala Figuera (in Spain) where the Movement was born. Now, we are beginning our study of the Cursillo Weekends and how those work. Come join us!
If you have lived your Weekend and discern a calling to live your apostolic vocation within the Cursillo Movement, pray about making a commitment to attend our sessions and help us lead the Movement into this new decade. Our studies will open the eyes of your heart and help you discern your personal calling.
Christ is counting on you…
God bless you!
